|Meeting Date(s):||Tue. March 11|
|Audience:||Faculty And Staff|
Per Adjunct Union Contract 3.G - Adjunct faculty will not be compensated for attending programs, workshops, seminars, courses or meetings to meet federal, state or grant requirements under which an adjunct provides instruction. Check with Division office for guidelines.
Adjunct faculty currently under contract will be compensated $35/contact hour up to a maximum of 11 contact hours for the academic year (fall and spring semesters combined; no summer stipends). Please note that there are some PDC classes that are not offered for faculty credit.
This session introduces faculty and staff to common-sense ideas about copyright, fair use, and creative-commons licensing. Dr. Thomas Tobin, Coordinator of Learning Technologies at Northeastern Illinois University, will be on campus to share his interactive presentation on Copyright for Community-College Faculty and Administrators to help faculty and staff understand and adopt a simple 4-point rubric for ethical use of copyrighted content, as well as understand who owns intellectual property under three common models. Presentations will be at 2pm and 4:30pm.
